+ How do I know if I have received a Precise ParkLink infraction?

Precise ParkLink is deputized by the City of Ottawa to issue City of Ottawa infractions on registered & contracted private properties. “PRECISE PARKLINK” would be noted on the bottom of the ticket next to “AGENCY / AGENCE”. Printed tickets are typically issued, however, at times we may issue handwritten infractions. If unsure, our customer service team would be happy to clarify.

+ Why is Precise ParkLink issuing City of Ottawa infractions?

Precise ParkLink enforcement officer are deputized by the City of Ottawa, allowing them to enforce parking on private properties. The officers are only authorized to issue infractions on properties privately owned and registered in the Private Parking Enforcement Officers program run by City of Ottawa By-law & Regulatory Services. Training is provided by the City of Ottawa and our officers must pass a police background check to be a successful candidate.

+ Why did I receive an infraction?

  • Did you pay/register for your parking and/or did you correctly display your pass or proof of payment?
  • Were you parked in a marked fire route or accessible space?
  • Were you parked in your assigned, designated parking space?
  • Were you parked on a lawn, curb or other non-designated parking area?

+ Why do I have to pay for parking?

If your vehicle occupies space on private property with paid parking regulations, paying for parking is required. To pay your parking infraction online, visit https://www.parkingsupport.ca/#parking-invoice.

+ Am I required to pay my Parking Infraction?

Parking Infractions not paid within the notified timeframe outlined on Parking Infractions and notices sent via postage mail are assigned to the Credit Bureau of Canada Collections in Ontario. Unpaid Parking Infractions are subject to interest rates. To pay your parking infraction online, visit https://www.parkingsupport.ca/#parking-invoice.

+ What happens if I do not pay my Parking Infraction?

Parking Infractions not paid within the notified timeframe outlined on Parking Infractions and notices sent via postage mail are assigned to the Credit Bureau of Canada Collections in Ontario. Unpaid Parking Infractions are subject to interest rates.

+ Why have I recently received a letter from the Credit Bureau of Canada Collections?

We have engaged the Credit Bureau to recover amounts owed to from parking infractions. To avoid being pursued by the Credit Bureau, you can pay them directly in accordance with their letter to you, or pay Parking Infraction in accordance with the Final Notice letter that was mailed to you by visiting payforparking.ca.

+ My vehicle has been towed! What do I do?

Call 3-1-1; Precise ParkLink officers are authorized to tow vehicles (under certain conditions) on contracted private properties. Tows are arranged through By-law services, therefore they would know best which impound lot the vehicle was brought to.

+ Why do I have to pay for parking at a hospital?

Hospitals in Canada are mandated to use parking fees as a revenue source to supplement government funding. Parking revenues help hospitals provide their communities with programs and services. In 2016, the Government of Ontario passed mandatory regulations to ensure hospital parking is more affordable for patients and visitors.
